bridesmaid
Well, I certainly haven't been here in awhile have I. Not sure if anyone was reading these posts, and it's not as much fun if I"m the only one reading them. But here it goes anyways. I just saw Bridesmaid this weekend. It was hilarious. I just love a good comedy that makes you laugh til your stomach hurts. But then i do have a sick sense of humor sometimes, and gross human bodily functions make me laugh. It had a great story about bestfriends from childhood, and how things can change as you grow older. the two woman from SNL did a great job, and a new funny lady I haven't seen before but after that performance I'm sure we will be seeing alot of her. Great fun movie, if you need a good laugh. It's a 5 on my scale for comedy.

Texas de Brazil 5 stars
Texas de Brazil is a meat roller coaster of a restaurant. It is one of our family's favorite places to eat. A Brazilan steakhouse with a fantastic saladbar. It has shrimp, chilled and grilled asparagus, grilled peppers, zucchini, caesar salad, goats cheese with these excellent buttery crisp toast crackers. after you eat alittle from the salad bar, and don't fill up on it, cause you could get carried away; Out comes the gaucho's with long skewers of meats, all kind; garlic house sirloin is a person fav, filet wrapped in bacon and without, rack of lamb and leg of lamb, the leg is alittle better, sausages, pork baby back ribs, and beef ribs that just melt in your mouth. Also chicken and pork, which we don't eat to much of cause the beef is just so darn delicious. Plus the put a bowl of garlic mash potato's on the table, and those are just fantastic also, and banana's that have been sauteed in cinnamon and sugar, to cleanse the palette. Oh, it's definately a must eat at place. and to top it off; if you register online, you receive a 25%off certificate and everyone birthday and anniversary a 2 for 1 coupon. You have to try.

Easy A, 4 stars
I was very surprised by this not to overly advertised movie.Didn't know much about it, but had a lazy day, and decided to hit a movie before work, and this one was the only one in the time frame I needed. I was pleasantly surprised. I had just seen "You Again" a few days before, and I thought this one was just as good, if not a hint better. About a girl who got hounded by her bestfriend into saying she slepted with someone, which she really didn't. It just so happened that the most religious girl at the school was in the bathroom stall hearing everything, and spread the rumor around. Everyone started looking at her differently, and her guy friend who had been made fun of his whole highschool experince begged her to pretend they had sex, so he would have the rep. of being straight and people would lay off him. Well, the work got around to the geeks, and she felt so sorry for all their stories, she let them pretend she had sex with them. Needless to say her reputation among the girls and religious groups of terrible and the guys couldn't stop looking at her. So she decided to play the part. And got sexy clothes and wore a big A on her. Alot goes on in the movie, I don't want to spoil it for you. It was a great outcome. Very cute movie. I'd say It Makes Sense.LOL
Social Network. It was 5 stars.
Just saw Social Network. It was awesome. Never knew the background of Facebook. It explained everything. It was fasinating. Justin Timberlack was great as the guy who founded Napster, kind of a smooth talking con artist, had the founder Mark, under his spell. Jesse Eisenberg was a genius in this role. I've seen him in alot of things lately, and he is very good.
It was sad to see the social downfall of his life the deeper he got into this facebook craziness. Especially the part where he screwed over his only friend. He kind of also stole the idea to some extent, and after being sued by everyone, they all got what they had coming to them, and he's still a gabillionaire. But maybe without a friend. Friends are priceless, he learned the hard way. Didn't seem to be a bad guy, but he kind of had a screw lose, but most genius do. Anyway, a must see, especially if you have a facebook account, which I do.

Wall Street 2 1/2 out of 5 stars or sense. Cute I know.
Well, it fell alittle flat for me and hubby and our friends we went with. My husband didn't want to walk out in it, which is a good sign, and it was abit interesting when they showed the backroom things that go on with the Federal Reserve and the banks. And how the banks really screwed things up. The best thing in that movie was the girlfriend Cary Mulligan, she was fantastic in it, and Shia LaBeouf was pretty good too. Michael was good as usual, played his part well. Though he is looking his age in this movie, but still handsome as ever. So I didn't fall asleep and my husband wasn't sighing his head off, so it holds your attention, but could have been so much more. If your really bored one day with nothing to do, and want some popcorn and a diet, go see the movie, but make it the matinee price cause it's alittle overpriced for$11 bucks. and thats my 2 sense.
Update on Smashburger
Ok everyone I have an update on Smashburger. OH MY GOODNESS.....you have to get the sin city burger. It has now replaced the number 1 burger in my book, which was inn and out. Oh my goodness again, it's that good. So many flavors bursting out of that juicey yummy burger. The most surprising thing for me is there is an egg on it. I've not one to mix my burgers and eggs, but oh my goodness again. It's the BOMB. It also has applewood bacon, grilled and haystack onions, cheese and the special smashburger sauce. I've had one two weeks in a row, and could go back tomorrow and eat another one. Yes, it's that good. I've been with friends and hubby who didnt really want to try it, but after I insisted, they were convinced. Still delic are the sweet potato fries and flash pan veggies with special sauce that has a hint of horseradish in it. Just a delicious fast meal, not to expensive. For two of us with drinks and burgers and sides was $22. Check it Out!!
Yes Again. Makes Sense 3 2/3s out of 5. LOL
Well, last night was girls night and we went to Smashburger and to see Yes Again, with Jamie Lee Curtis and Sigorney Weaver. It was very cute. Funny. I actually thought I would be laughing all the way through the movie and it would be so hilarious, But... It wasn't as great and fabulous as I thought it would be. Definately glad I saw it. Some very funny parts and great laughs. The girls looked great. Kind of reminded me of myself in highschool. The girl who didn't quite grow into herself until after highschool, and then blow everyone away at the 20 reunion. LOL. But for a great laugh and some fun you should see it. I wouldn't buy it or see it again, but worth seeing once for sure.

the "Town" with Ben Afflect 4 stars
My hubby was happy, finally a movie for boys!! For girls too, I loved it. Ben Affleck is usually not a very good actor, but he did an excellent job, and he also directed it. The guy from Hurt Locker was in it also, and did an excellent job. Great story line, taken from some truth. Ben was part of a group of bank and truck robbers, but he was a likeable guy. Here I find myself rooting for the bad guy again. LOL They robbed this bank, but the Hurt Locker guy was afraid the bank manager (female) might have seen something, so he wanted to tail her, but he's the read badboy of the movie. Whereas Ben Affleck the softer guy said he'd take care of it, cause he didn't want anymore harm to come to her. So he bumped into her at a laundry mat, and befriended her. They fell for each other. He wants to change his life and get out of the business and start over with her, but thats not happening. The guy from Mad Men is the head dectective, and does a great job too. Lots of action, sweet love story. Shot them up kind of action for the guys and great little storyline for us girls. Definately a go see. 4 out of 5 stars. Stop by and have some Smashburger before you go. I had the Sin City Burger tonight, which I think just replaces Inn and Out for me, it was that good.

The American, with George Cloonie. 1 1/2stars.
This was one of the worst movies I've seen in awhile. It was long and slow and boring. You never found out what organization George worked for, or exactly what his job was. Just that he was on the run and always looking over his shoulder for some swedish people that were after him. You never found out why they were after him either. He was building a gun for some unknown women in Italy, meet a hooker who fell for him after the first orgasm, which she apparently never has with other customers. You never saw any of George's usual charm. The ending was stupid. It definately made no Sense. Don't waste your money. PS George lost to much weight for the movie and he looked old.

No Sense, Indie Movie "Wild Grass"1 1/2 cents
My friend Arthur and I are indie buddies. We decided to go see "Wild Grass", which got a very good rating by the critics. HELLO, What the HECK!! this is why you need me folks, these critics must be smoking something when they are watching these movies. Here's the truth. The movie went in so many directions that made no sense at all, but you keep watching because you thinks it's so bizarre, it will all tie together in the end. Well, not so with this movie, It never tied anything together, and your left thinking, what in the heck was that??? You have an older man, you figure out he's married to a young beautiful woman, has 2 kids, seems to have a normal life. He finds a wallet at a mall parking garage, and the strangness begins. He has thoughts of killing random people, nothing pans out with that. He starts obsessing over this woman he's never met, turns into a stalker, then the cops come and talk to him. So he stops, then she misses it, so she starts obsessing over him. Calls him at home, the wife knows about her and seems happy to talk to her and tell her where her husband is. The only thing you get out of the movie is he loves airplanes; he and his father bonded over them and his father dies the week before. He see's her pilots license in the wallet and is infactuated with her. Well, she has a dental practice with a female partner, you can't really figure out if their lovers or not. she starts enjoying hurting her patients. She can't stop thinkig of mr. weirdo and flying her plane again. She has her friend bring her to his house, wife again happy to see her, invites her in for tea. Hubby gets home, sees girlfriend in the car outside. goes up to the window, reaches in to unbuckle her seatbelt, and starts making out with her. She never seems to like him before, but that doesn't stop anything. Brings her in the house and she asks for water. The wife says "So your bringing them home now". Next thing you know, obsessing girl, with the wildest reddest hair you've ever seen, invites them to go flying which they excitedly accept, and he goes to the bathroom, his fly gets stuck down. They go up in the plane. Red obsessing girl, sees his fly down and seems to get excited as does he. Next think you know plane is all over the place flying upside down several times and crashes. Next scene some strange woman in a house, using a type writer, little girl in bed, asking mommy if she becomes a cat, can she eat cat treats. And the movie ends. Hello, The end. How stupid. I've just saved you $10. See why you need me. LOL.
